The first lesson is designed to understand your goals, explain my teaching approach, and see if we’re a good fit. I’ll answer your questions, explain the requirements if you’re preparing for an exam, and assess your level. We may also include some oral interaction exercises.

Subsequent lessons will be tailored to your level and objectives. For general French lessons, I prefer to use a textbook (which I provide as a PDF) to give you a solid foundation and structure. I then supplement this with readings, audio or video materials on various topics, quick reviews of conjugations and grammar, and cultural and phonetic aspects of the French language.

I believe that those preparing for an exam (TEF, DELF, or DALF) can easily handle their listening and reading comprehension practice independently. To support this, I provide access to a shared drive with exercises for these "passive" skills, including audio materials and answer keys, to save you time and money. Of course, I’m always available if you encounter any issues or have questions.

In our lessons, I focus on written and oral communication. Students prepare at home within the assigned time, then send me their written work and/or inform me of their oral exam topic before the next lesson. This gives me time to correct the work and/or read the texts and prepare relevant questions for the oral exam.

If time permits, I also offer grammar reviews when necessary.

The Fide exam, which integrates all skills, is a bit different and requires a distinct approach.

It depends on your starting level in both education and French. Generally, my students are familiar with the basics such as email writing, structured texts with transition words, and summarizing.

However, I want to stress that taking exam preparation courses without having completed a minimum number of general French lessons at the required level is not effective. For example, if you passed the B1 exam in March and then aim to take the B2 exam in June without having attended B2-level classes, you’re likely to be at a disadvantage. A significant part of the exam assesses grammar and vocabulary, which cannot be adequately taught in exam preparation courses alone.

If you already have a solid grasp of grammar and vocabulary at the necessary level, you will understand what is required to pass your exam in a maximum of five lessons.

A force majeure situation can occur once, but repeated cancellations with short notice can negatively impact my business.

I kindly ask that you cancel at least 48 hours in advance to give me time to find a replacement, and we can agree on another date. 

If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before the lesson, I will refund half the price of the lesson. 

Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded, except in exceptional circumstances.

Yes, I provide my summary sheets and the sections of the textbook that we cover in lessons. Some students prefer to work with a physical book, so they choose to order the one we use.

Yes, my company is registered in France with a SIRET number, so I can issue invoices in your name or your company's name for tax deduction purposes.

For exam preparation, homework is essential. Students are expected to prepare at least one written assignment or oral presentation for the next class.

For general courses, I’m flexible. Some students have limited time, while others prefer to have work between lessons. It’s entirely up to you!
